1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement where you live. A minor may use the service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required.

2. What the service provides

FAKE NAME STUDIO creates synthetic profiles for lawful activities such as software testing, interface prototypes, education, tabletop games, writing and other creative projects. Results can include names, contact-style placeholders, address-style details, occupations, relationships and sandbox payment fixtures.

Results are fictional examples. They are not government-issued records, identity evidence, background checks, credit information, legal advice, professional advice or a representation that any person exists.

3. Permitted and prohibited use

You may use and adapt generated outputs in lawful projects, subject to these terms and any rights that may apply to coincidental real-world names, places or other material.

You must not use the service or its outputs to:

• impersonate a real person or misrepresent your identity;
• commit or facilitate fraud, deception, harassment, stalking or other unlawful activity;
• open accounts, obtain credit, pass identity or age verification, or access real-world services;
• send messages, deliveries or transactions to unsuspecting recipients;
• test payment details outside an authorized sandbox or testing environment;
• collect, infer or match information about real people;
• bypass usage limits, security controls or access restrictions;
• interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, overload infrastructure or probe for vulnerabilities without authorization; or
• violate another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property or other rights.

You are responsible for your project, your use of every output and compliance with laws and third-party rules that apply to you.

4. Generated outputs and data quality

Subject to these terms, you may copy, edit and export generated outputs for your lawful use. Because outputs are assembled automatically, they may be inaccurate, incomplete, culturally simplified, unsuitable for your purpose or similar to information associated with a real person. They are not guaranteed to be unique.

Review every output before using or publishing it. Do not treat an output as statistically representative, factual or safe for production systems without your own validation and safeguards.

The website, software, design, branding and non-generated materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not give you ownership of the service itself or permission to copy, resell or reverse engineer it except where law expressly allows.

5. Temporary results and exports

Generated results expire after 24 hours. Download any profile you want to keep before it expires. Downloads are stored under your control, and you are responsible for securing, reviewing and deleting them.

We may remove results sooner when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance or enforcement of these terms. We are not responsible for a result or export that is lost, cleared or unavailable.

6. Limits, changes and availability

Current daily limits are 100 single generations, five bulk batches and five ecosystems per anonymous browser or connection. A bulk batch contains up to 20 people; ecosystem size depends on the selected scenario. Expanding a world uses the ecosystem allowance, and advancing a cast uses the allowance for its generator mode. Allowances reset at midnight UTC. People on a shared connection may share an allowance.

Capacity, features, limits and availability can change. We may suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the service, including to protect users, enforce these terms, perform maintenance or stay within hosting capacity. We do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

7. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, uniqueness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or availability. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service operator and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, or harm arising from misuse of an output. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

9. Enforcement and changes

We may block or restrict access when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or the service is at risk. We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. Revised terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after revised terms take effect means you accept them.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
